Hi guys,

My buddy is wanting to install a Megasquirt in his car (89GT), and has voted me to do this. He wants to remove the Mass Air harness/computer alltogether.

I dont have any pesky megasquirt issues to ask here, simply questions on what factory wiring I can utilize.

With the Mass air harness removed I would like to know where I can tap into to get a 12V hot in start/run source. I would also like to use the factory fuel pump relay, where can I find the wire that grounds the relay to power up the fuel pump.

If I missed any other neccesary info please let me know, as he's wanting to do this this weekend.

1. If he's removing the EEC-IV harness, all of it.....you would need to access the remainder of the wiring harnesses (under dash and engine LH side).....you would need the details of those wiring harnesses.....the best way to get that info would be a an OEM '89 Mustang Shop Manual.

2. The wire that grounds the FP relay to turn it on, is the one located at pin 22 of the now removed ECM harness....check the diagram you'll find at http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,40.0.html ......or use the full set of diagrams you'll find at http://sbftech.com/index.php/topic,3993.0.html
