I'd go to the general tech section, and make yourself a new post there. But, I'll tell you this, they're gonna want a LOT more information than it's a 68 with a bad attitude in the morning =).
Good luck!

I have a question about my 86 GT. Is it worth an E7 head swap on a stock 86 (flat top) bottom end with 1.7RR, or will I not see that much of a gain? The E7's have 1.84 and 1.54 valeves and minor port work. I know a cam is out of the question, but I do not have the funds to build a shortblock for the summer.

....you would have to make sure the E7's clear with the stock cam anyway.....some do....some don't. Will it see some gain....provided you check PtV and notch pistons if required......
.....is it worth it?........YCYDYP

I did this some years back.
I bolted on a set of stock valve E7's with the exhaust bumps removed on my 86 GT. I also swapped upper intakes at the time and added a 65mm TB.
The car seemed totally different. The E6 setup was crazy fast (at least it seemed at the time) to about 70 mph were it started to lose breath at a pretty drastic rate. After the swap the car seemed a touch slower at low rpms, but was a whole new animal after say 2500 rpms.
Was it worth it? Considering the swap cost me about $150 at the time - yes!
Would I do it again? If the stuff was free and I was broke - yes, I would do it again.

Not for nothing, but that 65mm T/B was probably a bit too much at anything less than 2500 RPM. Just my opinion on that though.....
E7's on flat-tops will net you a minimally higher C/R (provided you don't have to notch). What else have you done to this car so far? Step 1 IMHO would be to get an 87-up upper HO intake and 60mm T/B and port the lower.
**and those new Boss blocks look like a great piece. I especially like the screw-in freeze plugs.
