Here is your forum for all things 302. We have a dedicated stroker forum so let's try to keep the 302 stroker discussion there.

your better off building one using cleveland heads and a boss 302 intake. Finding an original will set your pocket book on fire

I'd rather be a fool who is loyal to his friends than a POS that jumps ship to save face. We were wrong in the end, but nobody can ever call us disloyal. I can live with that.

Hi Woody, how are you? I guess this is not the right place, but I got too curious to hold off. Can you use cleveland heads on a 302 or I misunderstood? Tks.

Yes you can use cleveland heads on a 302, for 99.999% of people its too much work though. Unless you find a set of boss 302 heads on ebay which I see about twice a month. The cleveland engine uses a dry intake, meaning no coolant like the windsors so you need to plug a hold on the cleveland head. Drill a few small holes in the block. The biggest problem is the lack of intakes, the remedy for that is to use Price Motorsport intake spacers.

Is it worth the trouble or a set of good aluminum heads would do a better job?

Just a quick note to let you folks know that Ford is finally casting new BOSS blocks. Not actually an exact clone, more of an improvement on the old part. Figure once they have enough stashed away for their own crate engine needs, they should start pushing some bare blocks out the door to customers. This looks like a really nice pc. of hardware for low budget racers, I just hope they make enough of them to keep the price within reach of us average Joe Sixpack types.
