This thread has been revived, so I'll ask it here.

Joel, why does no one do the math on a 3.25" stroke(4.030" bore), and list the correct displacement? It is not 331, just like a 351W or 351C is not 351 cubic inches. Those are 352 engines, and always have been, but the name is fine for those 351's.

Who did the bad math and named the 332 a 331? Disgust

...... It's not an issue of bad math...... it's a way of distinguishing it from the 332 FE and the 330 Triton....... or why would the they call the 302 HO a 5.0L engine? Wouldn't it be more 4.9L?

I forgot about the 332 FE engine, but that's not a good reason to short the 302/332 unit.

I never call a 302 a 5 liter engine, that was a dumb idea by Ford to begin with. They tried to change the name of the engine, I know metric better than most, but it made no sense to do that. The 4.6 engine is fine to be called that, because that's how they started with it. I would have preferred to stay with cubic inches with all engines, but the metric figures work too.

Oh well, I'll keep correcting people for misnaming stuff, like an air cleaner(not an air intake). Hmmmmm

Was there a winner combination here?
Did anybody input the data into a GOOD dyno program (not DD2K as it isn't very accurate)?
Has anyone built the combo they listed?
I know it was hypothetical, but this is an old thread. I'm curious if someone built up one of these.
Oh, I don't recall reading the answer about the 351 firing order. What was the reason?

Those who say it can't be done should not interrupt those that are busy doing it.
