I'd always heard the Vic 5.0 EFI had the best lower of any of the long runner EFI offerings, but the upper sucked. Similarly I'd heard the RPM II upper was decent, but the lower wasn't so great. I was thinking how feasible it would be to mate the VIC lower with the RPMII upper. I'm sure the upper would have to be ported to match, and there would have to be fittings welded on to allow securing the two halves together. I know the Holley SMII is the preferred one, and easier, but thinking these two together might be solid also. Thoughts?

Interesting, I own the RPM II for my 347, and a lower Victor 5.0 I want to sell.

If I make time, maybe I can find the Victor 5.0 and compare them. I liked the Victor 5.0 as you point out others say is great, but I needed the lowest intake to mount an intercooler above. I got a TFS R lower for that recently, the ports look to be a hair bigger than the Victor 5.0 lower.

If you don't have a line on the lower, I'd like $150 for this one, it came from the Corral forum.
