instead of rebuilding the lsd in my cobra, i put in a eaton tru trac.
i have the 8.8 carrier, with 3.55 gearset in good used condition. i also have brand new carbon fiber clutches and brand new side gears.
all you'd need is new bearings and it's good to go.
$300 plus the ride for the whole shebang.

Other than being a little noisy it's great.
The only reason I went to it is because dropping the irs center section is a nightmare and I'd rather not have clutches that will wear out inside it.
