hey guys,, was thinking about trying one of these top end kits on my 91 lx 5.0,, its in stock form now, only headers and exhaust have been upgraded, my question is why are they not including lifters? yet they include pushrods!  wont different lifters change the p\r length?  are there any other parts that might need to be purchased that im not aware of?

i mean am i expected to install new cam,, then put old fms lifters back in? Dissapointed i know that even new fms lifters are frowned upon here!!! yet theres not much said about it on trickflow site,,  so im just wondering what other users were going thru with there kits?  thanks in advance!

Unless they are damaged, roller lifters are reusable. TFS use longer pushrods than factory.

If you are going to spend that kind of money, I'd suggest looking around. People like Jim can put together packages that are more tailored to your specific needs. His heads also receive more finish work than those you'd receive from somewhere like Summit.

Doing more with less, or something like that.

Bottom line, if it was the hot ticket, the fast guys would do it.............they don't

You might need some Titanium rods and a flow bench!  LMAO on floor

I honestly don't get it.

I'm sweating, my heart is racing, my clutch foot is twichin', and my right arm punched the computer screen doing an involentary 2-3 shift while reading all that.

I hate the cam they include in those kits.

I have seen magazine articles that got the advertised power with them, but I have also see first had how disappointed people were with the kit - power wise.

No fear in reusing your stock lifters with that mild of a cam and the springs on those heads.

I'd rather be a fool who is loyal to his friends than a POS that jumps ship to save face. We were wrong in the end, but nobody can ever call us disloyal. I can live with that.
