i have a 1977 302 cougar ,factory cast iron exhaust manifolds i found a set of 1990's 302 efi exhaust manifolds, will they work on my car ?

Umm, maybe.
Depending on what exact vehicle they came from, they may work. You will just have to try. Even if they will physically clear, you may still need to modify the exhaust pipes.
But my question is why?
I can't see any real performance gains to be had. With very few exceptions, all of the factory manifolds are poor performers.
If you are replacing a damaged piece, there are still plenty of 70s manifolds out there.
