5.0/302W Firing order and engine block code questions
«

I have a few questions...these are related to my 93 Fox with a 5.0. I doing a timing cover gasket replacement and decided to pull the camshaft to confirm it was what the PO said it was. I also have a few more questions
I pulled the camshaft and discovered it is NOT the X303 per the PO, however it is the F303. I also discovered the firing order is for the "Non EFI" 5.0 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
Q1. The firing order "is this correct for the F303 camshaft?" (1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8)
Q2. The engine block code stamped on the rear engine deck pad is NF 137868 (the 2nd digit may not
be a 3 kinda hard to make it out)
What does those letters and numbers reference, possibly an older engine block?
Thanks for any info. I appreciate it!

The correct firing order for that camshaft is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8
The block code is near the oil pan rail. I've seen E7 blocks with it on either side.

You might need some Titanium rods and a flow bench!
