Found a Mexican block on craigslist local too me.  Guy says it's a '73.  Was thinking of picking it up for a future E85 306-310 build.  Shoot for around 13:1 compression, use Rich Smith's old back up heads (purchased from Mighty Mouse) which are old TEA Twisted Wedge Renegades done for Rob Mollet's old FFW Street Warrior car, use the Ti valves that came in them, a light custom piston from Racetec, an early 302 2m crank, use the RPM ultra light I beam rods I have, solid roller, and a Super Victor.  Keep it at or under 8,500 rpm and hope for the best.

I think this is a case where the thin cylinder walls could use a partial fill to help with ring seal.  Use an oil cooler on a thermal switch and hope that with the cooler burning E85 it will keep the oil cool enough to put around on the street at times.

So, after a little research it seems Hardblok, Embeco 885, and even some talk of Loctite Nordbak epoxy sounds very interesting.  Anyone have any experience with these?

Make sure you get your information from the internet gurus that haven't built SHIT, they did sleep at Holiday Inn last night, and we have a few of those gurus right here on this forum. Smiley
