I just bought a set of comp 1305-16 magnum roller rockers, new in box. the guy had them on craigslist advertised as fitting SBF with a 7/16 studs.

He shipped them pout today and got back to me with a part number. Looks like they are 1.6 ratio for SBC instead of SBF.

Will they work on my AFR 205's? and if it makes a difference I have not bought pushrods yet

Or am I screwed again with my "good deal"

The geometry is only slightly different. With the long valves on those heads, I suspect that they will be just fine.

Just be sure to pay attention to the inside clearance at the guide plate.

I honestly don't get it.

I'm sweating, my heart is racing, my clutch foot is twichin', and my right arm punched the computer screen doing an involentary 2-3 shift while reading all that.

I have been reading and I should be able to adjust pushrod length to get a good contact pattern on the valve.

I am thinking its gonna end up slightly longer than it would for a ford rocker, but thats just sort of guessing.

any input?

Looks like most chevy rockers are .060 shorter from trunion to tip, but I have read longer as well........ wonder which it actually is

Shorter.

But when longer valves are used on SBF heads, it's common for a SBC rocker to actually have better fitment.

Pushrod length? Measure, it is what it is.

You can have different Ford rockers, and all of them measure out a little different.
