I have a Maverick 8 inch in my 55 Ford sunliner and the 10x1.75 brakes look tiny so before spending a bunch of money to go a little larger on the rear brakes what all is involved in add explorer disc brakes on that 8 inch.

Assuming you've got 5 lug axles,  you'll need '79 Lincoln Versailles rear rotors,  '87 T-bird rear calipers with
the mounting brackets,  and a custom weld on mount for the caliper bracket to the axle.  You'll also need
to fiddle with the E/parking brake.  You should be able to get this done under $400.00

At that price, you're pretty close to a bolt-on Aerospace setup.
