i need a new case and i been screwed by the shops around here. i just spent 100.00 on a used case and 450.00 to have the parts changed. i found out today that case is not any good. so i was going to do a Performance Automatic c4 but some one said that tci makes a better transmission. they are a little cheaper and they have free shipping. any one have a c4 from them?  this is going behind a 500+hp 347 that is race only.

I would suggest the PA Comp, manual vb, trans brake, rollerized is best.  We have two PA's one started as st/strip and the second one cost $2,000/2,400?? but worth it.  We have 2 yrs with a 412 capable of 9.60 et's which we throttle stop to 10.90 @135 most of the time.

I didn't change the fluid ???? and looks dirty, dumb me and this year going into 3rd was slowing down and over revving a touch.  Haven't rebuilt it yet as rotator cuff surgery recovery has some time to go before I can do things normally.

im just tired of all the bs with shops around here. i have had it at the one shop 3 times, the other shop had it for about a month and never did any thing to it. this other shop took all the one parts from the one transmission and put it in the other case for 450.00. i told them i just had it in here and asked you do check it before we did anything to it. they said it was good and changed the parts. now they are saying it was good when we did it. they said about 1500 more to fix it.

O dear Lord !!!  A c4 is one of the easiest transmissions to build.! I charge 300 labor and if I do a lot of machine work then it is more. Soft parts 100 bucks and that is on the high side . The vb prices are different for each manufacturer planet sets servo ect.are too .

If you have no luck you might want to look at Broader Performance transmissions in Weatherford TX. He does some of the best work on ford transmissions.
