Probably save a man a dollar or two from not having to replace the solvent as quick.

Changed the filter today...   As a matter of fact, this is the 2nd time I've changed it!  The first one looked just like this one!  DEFINITELY doing it's job, and keeps the solvent looking MUCH better than without the filtration!!!

It's a good feature to have for sure.

Also try to watch out for the oversize filters that will replace the FL-1A. I got one on Amazon recently for $6 shipped, now they have popped back up to around $17. Amazon drops prices I think on low demand items when they have lots of them, and the prices jump up when some do sell.

I use a Napa 1773 on my car, which is just a Wix 51773. Its much longer than the standard filter. They list for ~$14, but I think they only charged me $9 for the last one that I bought. They don't clear on many vehicles, so I doubt they sell many. The other local parts stores didn't have any filters that size in stock.

For what Mike is doing,  I'd probably just stick with the cheaper filters. He can probably buy three standard filters for the price of one long filter.

Yeah, a bigger filter would have to be discounted a lot to save on it versus the $4 normal units.

I got this Wix 51714 for $6.85 in March, now it's up to $15.88, no bargain.
