What brand would you buy and why?

  I have a art carr extreme aod with a 3500 stall, but don't make the power to get it there.

Depends on how serious you are going to be about this.  IOW I have found over the years that a custom converter (just like a custom billet camshaft) is the best way to go.  Will be more expensive but IMHO worth it!
