600 v.s. Summit Brand

How do you like that Summit carb. I have a friend that is considering getting one.

I know they are based on the old Holley 4010s which were based on a Autolite 4100. I wonder if they fixed the issues Holley had with them, I remember they weren't very popular.

Bottom line, if it was the hot ticket, the fast guys would do it.............they don't

You might need some Titanium rods and a flow bench!  LMAO on floor

I honestly don't get it.

I'm sweating, my heart is racing, my clutch foot is twichin', and my right arm punched the computer screen doing an involentary 2-3 shift while reading all that.

I love this carb!It start faster idles lower and smoother and is faster than the 575 demon it replaced. Its the only aftermarket carb that ive ever had that I didnt remove the electric choke because they usually work so poorly. This choke and fast idle work great.Barry

Check my sig.  My Merc is my DD and only car.

If my Merc had forged internals then I could go with a much better head, more CR and a better custom billet camshaft.  I'm living and I'm learning.

It could still remain my DD and be much faster.

And -- it's still my DD!

Pretty quick for the combo.  The 347 should make a world of difference.
