I'd rather be a fool who is loyal to his friends than a POS that jumps ship to save face. We were wrong in the end, but nobody can ever call us disloyal. I can live with that.

I wouldn't have expected it to run that good that quickly. Great job!
What rpm were you shifting it at?

Those are some GREAT times!!!!
How are you making those headers fit between your shock towers?
The Merc is jealous of you ...

Great Job DeeAnn!
So glad to hear it's working well and it's doing what you want. Are you still thinking of swapping the cam this winter?

We were shocked when the very first pass was a 10.97 @ 121mph. The only adjustment we made all weekend was changing to a 7000rpm limiter chip. Kept hitting the 6800 chip on some of the shifts and before the traps. Recorded a pass on the playback tach and it showed that I was shifting around 6700 on both shifts, and crossing at around 6800. I have the shift light set at 6300, but I guess I shift when I'm damn good and ready...lol
Later in the weekend (in better air), the car ran a 10.84 and a 10.88 at 123-124mph.

Since my goal was to get into the 10's....and we're there already....we're gonna run it 'as is' for a while and just have fun. My general philosophy is 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'

It was snug, to say the least. The driver's side header has been "massaged"....

Ugly? Easy now -- that's my baby and it's got lots of unique character! When I drop that built 445" stroker in it you won't have any time to "pull over to let me pass" because I'll have already blown past you when you figure out what the hell was that loud noise behind you . . .
