Pains me to say it, but things haven't quite gone my way since last July.
Not at liberty to put details in public at the moment. Let's just say I'd rather see it go to someone who loves cars (specifically old Mustangs) than any alternative.
Now $5,000

That SUCKS! If it's a divorce... At least in WV, anything you owned prior to getting married is NOT marital property, and is yours to keep and not be divided. I believe most states are the same way. Might want to look it up. But, I am well aware that lawyer fees are insane, and selling stuff is often necessary.
Thinking of you, and I hope things go as well as can be hoped for!
Insanely low price for a solid car with 11 second potential and a solid engine by MCRP!

Thanks, Mike, I do appreciate the sentiment.
Oh yeah, it's got an 11 in it...using a ratchet shifter instead of leaving it in [D] is worth at least a couple tenths, eh?

It's titled, registered, insured and very streetable.
http://s274.photobucket.com/user/eckertd/library/For%20Sale%20Pics
FYI - The video at the above was a 12.5 second pass with the 3.50 gear at Atco. Turns out I had a seized valve in the valvebody, the whole valvebody was replaced shortly thereafter. The 12.18 on the timeslip was last July at Old Bridge Twp Raceway Park with the current 3.89 gear.
Additional details at the DragTimes link in my sig below, and feel free to fire away with any questions.

Sorry to see you're selling it. Doubt you'll have a hard time getting your asking price.
I trapped at 109 also. Hope I can get that low in the 12s on a good tire.

Thanks. I guess we'll find out - last summer the only offers I had were some funky-ass trades.

For me the tire was only half (maybe less) the battle. I still had to get my head outta my ass and do a proper burnout before that 1.656 60' came along. IIRC I left at about 2300RPM off the footbrake. It seemed to like it.
I know your setup is different. Point is, it took me a while to whittle it down from 12.9 on the same tires. Guess I'm a slow learner...
I'm sure you'll get that low-12.
Oh, and the .001 light was a total fluke!

Well...that didn't take long.
A guy came by yesterday to have a look. He drove it around the block, came back wide-eyed and asked if he could call me later that evening. Sure...
Well, he didn't quite make it home...30 minutes later he was back with $500 cash for a deposit.
He showed me pictures of other Mustangs he's done...looks like "Rusty" may get finished after all...

...and she's gone...
Just a bit of seller's remorse, but knowing he's going to finish the job and it won't be wasting away in my driveway helps quite a bit.
Many, MANY thanks to everyone here (and those no longer here) for the help and encouragement over the years. I couldn't have found a better group than you folks.
Since September of 1985 it went from a 6-cyl High School & College DD (making numerous trips from NJ to MI and back), to a 15-second 306cid turd, to a legit 12-second ride that raised more than a few eyebrows at Atco and E-Town.
I will miss the kind-hearted ribbing like "That's not rust, those are speed-holes!" and "It gets quicker every pass because more rust falls off!" ... but not too much.
Right now there are no immediate plans to fill that void. But when the time comes, it will be
and I'll be picking your brains again! In the meantime, I'll just be here (s)trolling around.

Ugly? Easy now -- that's my baby and it's got lots of unique character! When I drop that built 445" stroker in it you won't have any time to "pull over to let me pass" because I'll have already blown past you when you figure out what the hell was that loud noise behind you . . .
