Started installing new aluminum radiator. Old fans are to thick so went to our newly opened Summt Racing store and picked up a knew fan. New radiator is not as wide as old radiator but twice as thick. Should still lose 40lbs on the front end. Jack was looking at the package and read cools 350 hp. I told him that's fine our rings ar only gapped to spray 325 to 350 hp.

With fuel cell change and radiator change I believe I have lost at least 75-100 pounds off car. Can't wait to test.

Finally got to go work on finishing the headers right fit perfect . Left side needed a little massaging. Had one tube touching oil pan and one hitting block. Then collector was touching shift lever . Got every thing clearances and car back together. Since I removed most of the add on wiring. I ran a few wires to get trans brake ,fan, water pump, and fuel pump up and running . Started and let warm up. This converter only will go to 3800 on the brake still pretty tight but looser than the last one. Will start on wiring this week.

Isn't header tube work fun? Actually I kind of enjoyed doing it once I got over the initial fear. Ended up doing it in the off time between 2 different race seasons and they now fit great except for plug access to #8. The only problem there is that its the only plug that I can't use a ratchet on for a quick plug swaps. LOL
Keep at it Bam and you'll be very pleased with the end results.

Dennis they really fit well now . All spark plugs will come out with electric ratchet . All in al fit was much better than original accufabs 1 3/4" headers that had around 20 hrs installing. Right side fit with zero modification. Left only about 3 hrs massaging. Only draw back was old headers would come on and off without moving engine. These engine has to be out headers laid in then engine installed. Starter still ok to get off and on.

Ugly? Easy now -- that's my baby and it's got lots of unique character! When I drop that built 445" stroker in it you won't have any time to "pull over to let me pass" because I'll have already blown past you when you figure out what the hell was that loud noise behind you . . .

Bam just got it installed. Car has been down several months. Right now tracks are closed for another month. All though some times if weather is good they may open. Nothing you can count on. Installed Leash progressive, his nitrous board and his 6 relay board. Trying to borrow a alignment machine to do a alignment this week. Will be ready to test if any tracks open.
