With a Turbo...

Its funny how many of these high powered 3" stroke motors are talked about, but very rarely happen to make it to the strip and back up all the hype.

I'd rather be a fool who is loyal to his friends than a POS that jumps ship to save face. We were wrong in the end, but nobody can ever call us disloyal. I can live with that.

skip the street heat intake IMO that thing is a piece of crap

pick one of these-
holley systemax2
tfs R
edelbrock rpm 2
edelbrock rpm 1

I listed them in my order of preference, opinions will vary

I would also think about getting a better torque converter. maybe some 1.7 rockers or a better cam. my understanding is the F303 is the favorite on turbo builds like this one. I bought mine for $100 used that was shipped

While I whole heartedly agree with Jay above... 11's with a 70mm turbo can easily be had with any aftermarket (including Explorer GT40 stuff)....bottom 11's and high 10s is where intake and head choices become more critical.

In all reality, buy the biggest mcsa, best, highest flowing head and intake you can...

As Jay said - the F cam seems a favorite with a lot of turbo guys.  I personally think its a lot of hooey.... but maybe I am just not seeing the proper examples of cars going any faster with a lone stock cam swap to F cam swap.  If you are going to bother switching cams for 11's get something on a good core so you can use a heavy valvespring and good lifter.

Everyone's on a budget.  The wife sees to that.

It's just a matter of learning how to WISELY spend your budget money allowed for the performance ride -- that is the trick ...

lol I was just looking through some threads and realized I was the one who told you how to get the blower to work with SD. I told you back then to skip the powerdyne

you probably already knew that I just figured it out now. there arent alot of people who can get SD to work with alot of mods

it never occurred to me because we both have different screen names on corral.

didnt you have an sn93 maybe at one time also? I got laughed off this board but gave you the right info if I remember right. that was over here...
