 One old book I found lists from .014-.025. Hope this helps

 You'r welcome, my first engine rebuild when I was barely a teen other than a few lawn mowers was an FE. Good, reliable, and a torque monster of a motor. Had several of them in pickups and an old galaxie I wish I still had.

they are beasts...we have 2 of 'em in the shop at school.  lots of meat in those blocks, dunno how big the bore could go but it looks like it could go pretty big.

I have seen FE stroker kits up to 445."  I am probably going to build a standard displacement 428 out of my 390FE truck engine.  Whenever that happens Undecided

 I wouldn't bore that 390 block that far. Get the 428 crank, bore it .040 and you'll have a 418 with a lot of potential for good power.
