Iam working on a 1986 5.0 from a mustang doaner car. The engine and complete wiring harnes is in a 1939 ford coupe. I have a miss on # 2 cyl that appears to be no fuel, we put a O T C Noid light in to test for pulse and found a constant light with key on but when you crank the engine, the light goes out -- no pulse no light ?

No pulse = no light pulsing however, the light should not turn on with key in IGN ON.

Looks like you have a short to ground or a wiring problem. Suggest to disconnect the EEC, leave noid light installed and turn IGN ON....... you should have power at the injectors but no ground at the other terminal, if the light turns on..... need to trace that wiring for a short.
