are the stock 4.9 pistons forged, hyp or cast? i know nothing about the internals of these motors.. never done anything other than a rocker adjustment on 1.. going to be rebuilding 1 soon and someone threw the idea or throwing a turbo at it after the rebuild.. mostly stock on 8psi with an offy intake, 4 barrel, slight cam upgrade and custom header.. just looking to see if OEM replacement pistons will hold up

Check out fordsix.com.....Lot of guys building up and boosting there I6s over there. Seems the stock pistons are junk as well as the head gasket. However, the 4" stroke stock crank and rods seem to be pretty beast and hold up fine to boost.
