How should I mount it. In the chassis halfway to motor and half way to tank? As well how shouldI get it to suck up the gas? By putting a fuel line down the gas tank and just run the rest to the pump and then to the carb? So 12v frm teh coil to the heater thing?

Electric pumps for the most part are better pushers then suckers.  You typically mount them near the tank.  You'll have to mod the stock pump/pickup to make it work.  Need to remove that pump, extend and run a filter sock if you want.  Getting a tank from a non EFI stang would be easiest unless you need a lot of fuel.

I think it was the coil as it was mounted on the manifold and close by.  If not in a big hurry, I can get the manual in a few days to confirm.

Does your car still have the in tank efi pump? If so, a basic Holley 803 regulator can be re-plumbed to work as a return regulator. The stock return line will be enough for a factory pump.

I have a regulator It came with the car owner told me its for a carb setup. But how would I run the lines to it? So What I basically do is get the line that gives fuel and conect the lines to the regulator "in" and then teh "out" to the carb?

Using a Holley 803 regularor as a return unit to convert a efi fuel system requires you to plumb it differently.

The fuel line from the pump goes to one of the regs outlet ports, other outlet port to the carb, and the return line to the inlet.

Among many other things. Hell, that carb isn't even a performance oriented piece.

FYI -  just check my wiring manual.  The '85s carb was powered by the stator (S) terminal of the alternator.  Says it's about 7v when running.  Makes sense to have choke powered only when engine is running.

You are thinking that FI is easier to tune than a carb?
