Just wanted to post this data point:
AFR 185 competition head 58cc swap from old heads netted .8 difference in E/T at the track. Old heads were some mildly ported 69cc heads
289 bored .030 over with small Ford Racing camshaft .472/.496 214/224 @ .050. X-celerator intake, 750 QFT annular booster carb, Thorley tri-y's.
T-5, 4.11, stock 2006 Mustang GT tires and wheels.
13.01 @ 106 (AFR 185) vs. 13.7 @ 101 (old heads)
Shifted at 6500 with new heads; 6000 with old heads.
Cheers!

I take it the street tires are killing your 60'. Your 106 mph indicates mid 12 second potential.

You might need some Titanium rods and a flow bench!

I'd be curious what the gain would be if you shifted at 6 with the new heads.

.......and great results with that A312 HFT cam/better flowing heads setup....
How does it "behave" streetwise?

I think a bigger cam and associated hardware ... springs, manifold etc would make a huge difference.
The heads aren't the weak link at the moment and with that cam you aren't seeing the real
benefit of the head swap.

Camshaft is holding it back. A real camshaft will net 50hp or more.

Thanks for sharing. I had similar results on my 90lx. Swapped the stock e7s and rockers for a set of tfs170s and 1.72 rockers, knocked off .71 and gained 7mph on a 1000ft track, with the stock cam .
