Great job on the headers Dennis and congrats on the sponsorship!  Very clever solution making a spacer with a flywheel. Congrats on the new personal bests as well. That hood turned out awesome!

A muscle car magazine (I think there are still a couple left) really should do a write up on Dennis and his car.  The story, Dennis's work, and the results (ET's and awesome success in bracket racing) are far better than 99% of what I've read about turning pages.  It really should be a cover story in my opinion.  I'd buy it!

What He Said  Everything about Dennis' build is impressive.  Modest personality, exceptional build in form and function.  Excellent newstand appeal.

Would undoubtedly be a great article.  But as many pics and detailed sub-builds as he has, they would have to run a series to do it justice.  There's at least enough info for a year or two.  Congrats Dennis, you could single-handedly save a magazine!

WOW Guys, Thank You.  I'm humbled by the recognition of doing something that I really enjoy.  I've also learned a lot with your help.  I don't know what else to say.

Good Luck on YOUR Projects, current and future!

I have to agree with the guy's you do beautiful/impressive work. My hats off to you! On a side note my guy's are at Maple grove this weekend and I let one of my friends Brandon take my Falcon since I couldn't make it. Ammo Steve is there also and Mel with 66 Mustang that I post a lot about. Not sure if that's close to you.

Thanks Bam.

I wasn't aware that you guys made it up to this end of the woods with your racing endeavor.  Cool Beans.  I'm within well within traveling distance to Maple Grove (3 hours) but the weather's crappy (like anytime I want to go to Maple.)  The more local tracks have canceled their events due to very wet grounds with more rain being expected.

I'd love to go see the guys/cars but it doesn't look like a good weekend for racing so I'm staying home to get some shit done around here before our Prostick racing season starts in 2 weeks.  Do you make it back up here again this year?

Great job on the R/T qualifying pass Steve.  I hope that you get to run it off today.

I wish the weather would have been a little more accommodating for you and the guys, especially since you made such a long haul.  I would have loved to come down to meet you all and maybe get in on the action.

Over the last couple of rainy weekends I swapped out the 4.33 gears for 4.56's.  I also put on a fresh pair of slicks in preparation of our first Prostick race of the year.  We headed to Capital Raceways in Baltimore on Saturday both the weather and track were phenomenal.  Luckily the ole girl took advantage of it and pounded out several new personal bests.  All 4 runs had 1.37 second 60'ers, which is the first time the car has been below 1.4X.)  That helped push the car into 9.8's at 138 mph (also both personal bests.)

Here's a video of the best run of the day:

http://vid31.photobucket.com/albums/c384/StangRacer351/618601CF-3E7D-4118-9E3B-8BA9A27AB4EF_zpsh8fb8lvh.mp4

and the time slip that goes with it:

Here's another low 9.8 second time slip:

My fun stopped in the 2nd round when I was knocked out by the guy who later ended up in the winner's circle.

Awesome Dennis on motor!

I wonder what accelerating to 110 MPH at 660' feels like?  I bet that I would love it in the Merc.    Wink
