Not trying to start a pissing match or argue

Its cool.
Hey Guys,
One thing I totally do disagree with is trying to tune the engine by the sound of bumping the system thru the engine. This not an accurate or good thing to try and do.. Many of the systems and tunes can fool you just by sound.
I think you might have misunderstood the topic.
I guess what i meant was how does more overlap effect a nitrous system? Will it cause some sort of back fire in the intake or just spit most of the nitrous out the exhaust?

Yes, overlap does effect how the nitrous system works. Too much will make the system less effective. The back fire or popping is more likely the result of a incorrect tune.
I was simply stating that even with increased overlap, any popping or backfire would be more likely from a botched tune (or equipment failure) than the overlap.
just posting what I have learned over the last 30+ years of working with nitrous..
