Yeah this car still has a 3.89 gear in it and the converter is going to need to be changed or restalled to get it where he needs it at 5800 to 6000.

Nice video!   Thanx!

It looks like I saw a whole lot of side-wall wrinkle going on from the launch.

I don't think the tires just spun too much without the ride going forward?

IDK if that is a good thing or not (about the side-wall wrinkle)?

Some wrinkle is ok on launch as long as its not crushing the tire were the rim gets close to the ground. The trick is get traction with as much tire pressure as you can.

10.57 @ 126 new best turned the leave rpm down alittle so it could run into the converter. The converter is to tight and killing the motor when he tries to leave to high. I am actually at work telling the guys what to do to get them down the track better it sucks I had to work today. His next pass he is going to shift it at 7800 rpm and see what happens. Oh and I will be racing tommorrow in the bracket race so I will get my spped fix before the weekend is out LOL.

I installed 4.56s today and took the car for a spin it definately liked the gear change. I lauched on a concrete pad and it had me lookiing for the brake pedal real quick. Hopefully we can get it out to the track this weekend. I am running on Sunday in a 6.0 race and there is test and tune so maybe he will bring it out for some passes.

New best in the 1/8 with the gear 6.62 @ 103 and a 1.44 60ft. He wasn't running all out on the shifts since this was a bracket race but he picked up to tenths in the 1/8 with the gear change. Heres a pic from this weekend.

We made some changes to this car in a quest for a 9 second pass.

New combo
365ci Dart SHP block
wiseco custom pistons 12cc dome 4.135 bore 14.1 to 1 comp
Total seal gapless rings with a napier second ring
Clevelite coated bearings
Compstar 3.4 stroke neutral balance crank
Compstar 5.4 rods
ATI balancer
Comp billet timing set
Bullet custom cam .731int .714exh  Dur @ .050  int 270 exh 278 installed on a 106 icl with a 109 lsa
Comp stainless 1.7 rockers and comp stud girdle
RHS 215's flow 335cfm  2.08 int 1.60 exh manley Nextek springs 240lbs seat 610lbs open Ti retainers
Super victor intake
Pro Systems 890cfm carb
Custom FPA ceramic coated headers 1 5/8's for 6inchs then stepped to 1 3/4's 3 inch collector
fresh C-4 with transbrake
5500 stall converter from FTI.
28x9 inch slicks
4.56 gears

Still has the nitorus kit on it but were hoping it wont need it to go into the 9's we only needed 3 tenths before and I think the converter would have gotten us most of that. I just finished the short block and need to get the heads decked then I can clean them and put them back together. She will be ready for the new season

Here is the pic of the finished product after some clearancing on the domes and spark plug boss. I hate grinding on a $1000 dollar set of pistons. We might get it in the car this weekend.
