I got the bolts. Now the throwout bearing is giving me a hard time. I can put it on the fork but it wont slide into the input shaft it gets stuck.

I'm not sure what you're doing.  Are you sliding it on with the transmission out just to see how it fits?

Where did you get it from?  I'd make sure it is the correct one for that transmission.  If it is the correct one I'd be worried the input shaft isn't straight anymore.

can you post a picture of the problem? you most likely have the wrong bearing, you are putting it on backwards, the steel bearing retainer is chewed up, or the fork is bent.(in that order)



BTW i feel your pain on the bolts and what not from converting. i'm waiting for the stepped pressure plate alignment pins to arrive in the mail. before that it was waiting for pressure plate bolts. before that it was trans to bellhousing bolts AAAARGHH!!

white 92GT, with a black interior, pony rims, 5 speed with a 3.73 gear. came with a gear, exhaust, and a powerdyne. nice little cruiser, i didn't change much yet.

have tw170's, systemax II, 75mm accufab, anderson n41, t5z, ford racing 23lb billet flywheel, and a quarterhorse sitting here. cam may change

I exchanged the throwout bearing today at oreilly. it was the wrong one.

I hope you got a quality bearing.  A cheap part there and you could be dealing with a squeaking transmission soon.
