well fixing alternator problem.... was not pushing nearly enough amps for what i have. so going with 130 amp from local shop for $180. i found after that i could have just gotten one from like a taurus or w/e but this way i have a warranty at least. then my battery does not seem to be holding a charge so free replacement will be used. had some oil leaks that i did not like but going to treck on and try to fix. try to re-bleed brakes see if that will help me stop a bit better Cheesy then going to be working on paint after i get those issues worked out. my dad and i are going to be painting it the only thing for sure is it will be black lol. will update as i can. thanks Cheesy

If I were you, depending how much paint you have, I think I would try red with a black roof(kind of like a mid 90's camaro), OR maybe even two tone so the roof, hood, trunk, top of the fenders and quarters were all black, basically from the hard line/crease at the top of the fender down, red. kind of like that elcamino in the mothers ad

post pics when you get some paint on it

my dad put a wanted ad on C/L for a 57 ford rear and within 2-3 days he found a NICE housing with 3.50 gears and a posi carrier in need of a rebuild for $150, it also came with a second center section with the bigger ribs and pinion support.
if you can find a deal like that, its senseless to put money into the 8" IMO, the 9" will use more power though
