Yes! I had to have it checked after initial bore & hone, it was OK, so I half-filled it with Hard-Blok anyway, since this would help strengthen the weakest section of the bores. Then had re-hone. It was 0.090" over when I bought it from a reputable m/c shop owner. It was in their shop car. He informed me 4.125" was OK, but to be safe, it is best to Hard-Blok it. So I did. No problems yet.

I always read that you have to fill the block with hard block before boring it. You did it after?

According to the m/c shop owner, it was a "hand picked" block, so i'm sure it was the one with the most advantageous core shift.
Any educated guesses, ideas, or thoughts about power production?

Its what I had on my 308. Not ready to buy one just yet. And it is very easy to tune (especially with a FAST O2 system).
My 308 went 6.40s @ 104 - 1.371 60' (on 200 shot).
I expect this combo to go 6.60s on motor in the same car.
I honestly think the intake, cam, and carb are my bottlenecks on this engine.
But will it run the numbers?
