I toured the Kaenen shop a while back and it is top notch!! Their hoods are awsome quality, you can tell they take pride in their work.

They did a custom hood for me - SN95 4.5" Cobra R Lift Off.  They will make any hood lift off or bolt on & the price very afforable!

They also offer 3" and extended 6" Cobra R for the 94-98 Mustang. The 6" is the same cowl as the 4.5" it just measures 6" back at the window!

Ugly?  Easy now -- that's my baby and it's got lots of unique character!  When I drop that built 445" stroker in it you won't have any time to "pull over to let me pass" because I'll have already blown past you when you figure out what the hell was that loud noise behind you . . .

Dana - no email but here is there web site http://kaenen.net/

Vri - They make fiberglass or carbon fiber hoods, I think they are doing some body kits too from what I seen...

I didn't take any pics of the shop, I'll post some pics of my hood after I get it back from paint.  Grin  (I didn't think to take some pics.... then again I didn't expect a tour!!!)

jaja their website has been under construction since I first heard about them in 2004.

I have a Kaenen hood on my car and the quality IS awesome. I haven't heard anything but good things about them and they go for a steal of a price.

Keep in mind their underside is unfinished, unless it's changed since I bought mine several years ago. My next hood will be another kaenen, can't go wrong with them.

I bought a kanean hood for my 86.  Fitment wasn't quite as good as i wanted, had more of a gap than i liked. But overall i was satisfied.

I have had two of their 5" inch cowl hoods and a friend of mine just bought one of their 2" ram air hoods and they were all excellent quality.

What hood styles do they actually have for a 86 model? Can any one post pictures of their's?
With 351 based engine, what would I need 4 inch?
Thanks Bobby

I know MPS autosalvage here in Georgia is a dealer for Kaenan.

I called MPS a few days ago and they said they arent selling them anymore    Maybe I talked to the wrong guy? I have been looking everywhere to try and find a dealer and I thank you for posting their website and phone number. I had been trying kaenen.COM

I must also jump in here and say that their hoods are top notch and have an excellent fitment.  No gaps at all and needed minimal prep to paint and smooth.
