my 302 might need a "smaller" intake too. i was figuring it had a little left in it with a different intake. great for the 331, but too much in the 302.

6500rpm
224/242 on a 109.5IC
canfield efi, cousin to the super vic i guess.
4.30's on a 26in et street
8.49 @ 87 1/8 is a ton slower than yours
12.9 @115 on a 2.0 60ft
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVF4IrQWgNg

not trying to derail the thread, just some comparison conversation.

if i get a hold of a vic jr im going to make it EFI and try it. i am not going to spend $$$ on those long runner intakes ever again. way too much $.

Well i'm sure that anyone watching the vid is going to tell you to work the launch out first...........i had to leave around 5600 or so on the 2 step with the SV to get my car to '60 near the systemax...........if you have a friend thats got a systemax/tfs r/victor efi i'd try it and see what it does...............i was giving up 35+ ft/lbs of torque across the board with the SV...................I'm assuming jay designed your cam for that intake but i would definitely try something else/smaller and see how much it might pick up.........

Duane B. told me i'd have to turn it 8000k for it to work lol...........

jay designed that cam when i had a 11:1 331 with a rpm2. with that engine he said the SP would work great, pull higher.

a friend has a 302/195/rpm2 deal with a cam from jay. were going to try both intakes and see what happens. he has stock gears right now... lol

i got a stock cam coming, see how mine acts.

i need wider/ more sidewall/ stickier tires and a driver mod lol
stock clutch isnt going to last long either...

Okie Dokie..........just a  little update..............got the .56's in and made a few hits at the local '600ft. track a few weeks ago, best was a 6.59 and a few .61's thrown in, drove it there and back 70+ one way whoohoo............Made it out to the track (PCD 1/8th mile) with David this last saturday and ran a 6.94/.96/.97 and would have got a .92/93/94 on my last pass except for killing 3 wheel studs on the launch (1.466)...........had ONE spare moser in the bag so i pulled the axle and beat out one of the broken ones and got the spare shoved in and drove it 135 miles home lol............i had replaced one broken one from my last mobile track trip and i think its the one that held, the three "old" ones died........got a new set ordered up..........MPH's were all 98.7 or so on the 6's............ran a spinning 7.12/.14 to start the day then they got the track squared up a little........also a 7.05 in the "street" tire lane just for kicks.......DA was around +1000/1100 all day and one of our local (53 miles for me) 1/8th. mile tracks is opening back up.....YAY!..........so that means more testing! Anyways, i'll probably lug this thing back up to the '600ft. track on the 23rd. and make a few more hits.........500+ passes and its still chuggin along Tongue

Summit sells a knock off of the vic jr that is already EFI ready. I would look at the ports and the plenum to see how look.

had ONE spare moser in the bag so i pulled the axle and beat out one of the broken ones and got the spare shoved in and drove it 135 miles home lol
It was probably comical to the uninitiated to see you pounding out the studs on the return road with a big hammer and ratchet extension. It's how rednecks get shit done!!

Bottom line, if it was the hot ticket, the fast guys would do it.............they don't

You might need some Titanium rods and a flow bench!  LMAO on floor

I honestly don't get it.

I'm sweating, my heart is racing, my clutch foot is twichin', and my right arm punched the computer screen doing an involentary 2-3 shift while reading all that.

my junk gets about 8 just tooling around but I want to say it used to get about 14 with an aod. but everything was ootb and had shorty headers back then so not apple to apples

next question- how many t-5 have you had? LOL

Tomorrow or next Friday?

Next..........should have said the 23rd. (MOBILE) and 25th. (PCD)...........

Jay........it's a 100 miles or so on the intersate at about 75/80mph..........not really sure on the mileage as i havent "checked" it..............i'd guess around 15/16 based on how much i'm using (including racing)?...........i think the coupe was getting 18 on the PCD trip?

Just have the A5 in the GT and the WC (2.95) from Pro-Motion in the coupe...........also ran my stock one for a 100 passes and it wasnt broken when i pulled it (runing high 7 1/8th.s).......it was also ran in the shortbus for a 120+ passes and i crushed the 3rd. gear inserts and broke a shift fork on another trip.......its pieced back together for my "almost" done budget coupe POS..........have another broken one on the floor (need to machine the mainshaft for a '93 cobra input) to fix (bought broken) and convert my silver car from AOD.............lotsa work and no money Hmmmmm lol...........

I'm supposed to be off that weekend. If I get a day off in between, I'll try to get my junk ready to bring over.
