Ugly?  Easy now -- that's my baby and it's got lots of unique character!  When I drop that built 445" stroker in it you won't have any time to "pull over to let me pass" because I'll have already blown past you when you figure out what the hell was that loud noise behind you . . .

Oh -- sorry to hear that.  I mistakenly thought that something good happened.  Hope he gets it back together again soon -- and faster than ever . . .

It's funny how you read the build, and think, Man that seems like a pretty easy combo..Nothing crazy...But I know there is a lot more to it, it ain't just bolting some parts together to run those numbers..

I know this post is old but it is an important topic when looking at Rich's combo.  This didn't happen overnight.  It's the result of YEARS of hard work.  This also wasn't some combo that just made a mid 9 second pass.  It held up and ran competitively in a class.  There's a HUGE difference between a guy who makes some passes at the track (like me) and doing what Rich and his team have done.

There was never anything "on it".....all my engines run naturally aspirated.

The 306 was pulled at the end of the 2007 season and replaced with an 8.2 deck 360....that was the motor that ran in the 9.30's-9.20's.
