Comments
As with GMKILLRs this combo had some more in it.  Was hitting the rev limiter at 1000 ft.  The 302 has since been pulled for a 408W being built by Woody and Jay Allen.

For such a simple combo this thing really flies!

Ported GT-40 Irons
Holley Intake
Anderson B-31
1.7 FMS rockers
shorty headers
Vortech S-trim

Imagine what this thing would have done with a transbrake!!!
Just think if you would have done:

Longtubes 1 3/4 w/ 3" collector
Full 3" exhaust
Ported intake
90 mm t.b.
Valve job on the heads
Milled the heads down a little for a little more compression
90 mm maf
K-member, a-arms, coilovers, and other weight saving idea's
Custom cam & springs from Jay

This pig would be in the low 10's!!!!!!!

Congrats Billy on the progress you made with this combo!
I know all the heartache you went through with this thing but it all payed off in the end.

Thanks Rob.  LOL.

We did have the battle of the SN95 302 combos for a while there.  I would have liked to see if i could have gotten it in the 9s with the 302.

Cant wait for the 347 vs 408 races

I don't think i'll be much competition for your combo Billy!!!

With that big engine and a built auto w/ a transbrake, i'll never keep up.......

Shifting a 5-speed manually and having way less cubes will definately hinder my ability to keep up with you ol buddy! Naughty
