I'm a little confused on the eliminating EGR valve and solenoid. Is the right way to use the products that "fool" the ECM. I have already eliminated the canister purge and two of the other solenoids on the back of the passenger strut tower.

Either way has the same effect....... the purpose of the resistors is to not allow the CEL to turn on due to a code 31 getting logged, a code 33 (what is caused by the resistors) will not turn on the CEL, but the effect in the logic is the same.

OK Joel this may be elementry to you but I want make sure I'm clear.
My main purpose of eliminating the EGR valve and solenoid is to clean things up but I don't want to effect performance. Wheather it's drivability or WOT.
So "if" it doesn't effect either of the two above I can just eliminated it and I will get a CEL. If I get the resistors I won't get the CEL but I will get the code 33.  Undecided

Exactly!....code 33 is the key, w/out turning on the CEL, for the EEC to make its adjustments w/out causing any effects in driveability.  WOT stays the same, b/c the EGR is not used during WOT under normal conditions.

can i add another don't???

Don't assume you have the correct connector for the STI when doing a KOEO/KOER test.  Check your wiring diagram and make sure you have the STI and not the under hood light (identical connector w/ blk/org wire).  Jumpering the wrong connector will lead to headaches and a new computer. Now how did I know that??? Whistling

Now, I have a question Smiley

My MSD cap has #1 marked on it, as do many others. Now, #1 plug wire is obviously at this location. Is it still possible to be out a tooth with the engine timed correct (14 base in this instance)? Logic tells me it's not, but then, I've been wrong before Wink

As long as #1 position is kept..... nope. The 1-tooth off issue will only limit the rotation of the distributor if you want to adjust past a setting value, but as long as the #1 position is kept...... the #1 PIP pulse will be timed correctly within the window the rotation of the distributor would allow. IOW...as long as #1 plug position coincides with the #vane rotor window as shown below, it's OK.
