I have a 302 out of an old Fairlane that I want to build up possibly for a supercharger setup. I would want to use a 6-71 Roots-style supercharger (I like the old school blower thru the hood look). It will be going into a 62 Falcon that I want to be reliable enough to run on road trips to shows or cross-country ( i.e. Americruise or Power Tour). I may also take it to the strip, just to see what it will do.

Is it at all possible to build a reliable setup like this using a "stock" Ford block? I know that I will probably change the internals for this application. I really don't have the budget to buy an aftermarket block AND the blower setup, that is why I am tyring to figure out if I can use a regular 302 block.

I have never built a supercharged engine before, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

sure its entirely possible, I can tell you the cost of the complete 6-71 is 3,725 from Don Hampton, he sells his blowers and intakes to everyone else and they resell it. This is a polished 6-71, lower intake which is an offy 360 cut and welded, front drive, everything needed. If your serious call don hampton, hes 73 years old, been doing the blowers for 50 years and is the best at this.

Don has the best GMC style roots street blowers on the market
Be up front with him and you'll get everything you want to make your deal work
