How much would a wornout trac-lok effect track results?

i dont think that ive had a properly working rear diff in the car for the 7 years that ive owned. Someone told me that when i do the rear (31 spline trac lok rebuilt w/extra clutch, 31 spline axles and c-clip elims) that i can expect a decent drop in time and pickup in MPH. i run 12.7 @ 113 (no traction, Nitto DRs), so lets say everything stays the same chassis wise, what results could i expect from a complete rear buildup?
also, i know i dont want it to work into the above topic, but i will be doing 26" ET streets too when it comes time.

Well...if it's suffering from the "RH rear wheel peel syndrome".....yup, an upgrade/overhaul will help in the traction dept.....if not, it would be working on the suspension/tires combination that will give you the best results.....IMHO.
