She was probably talking on her cell phone at the time.

At the Linc/Merc dealership where I worked, we had a pit at the front end of the alignment rack.  At least half-a-dozen dopes drove into it, even though it was well marked with caution signs to stay away from it.  It was a real hassle to get them back out because the rear wheels were usually off the ground.
