This is my ghetto jerry rigged together combo that has done wonders for me. Its not a proven good combo but it beats the bow ties up here.

1984 Mustang GT 5.0/302 Convertable

Engine:
Edelbrock Torker 289 intake manifold
Edelbrock 650CFM carb
Sig Erson cam (0.504 Lift, 0.296 Duration)
Sig Erson Anti-pump lifters
Stock Bottom end
A/C delete
Smog Delete

Transmission:
Ford T-5  w/ short throw
Kevlar Clutch

Exhaust:
Hooker Headers
No cats
Magnaflow mufflers

Rear End:
Mickey Thompson E/T streets
American Racing Rims
Stock Gears  Angry

Interior:
Rear seat delete
No trunk or spare tire

1/4 mile time: 15.48@ 93MPH @ 5280FT Altitude!

Soon I will be buying 3.73 gears and a pair of  ported E7's.

Any suggestions on how to lower time with out a lot $$$

How much lower are you looking to go? Figure out where you want to be with the car ET wise and then we could better help you get there.

Put the carb on that Explorer engine Jay was talking about for $400

you should be in the 12's

Get the gear changed as well.  I would do a 4:10 - 4:30

Don't bother with ported E-7's. The explorer engine is a better deal.

Spt at PC I'm sorry but what the hell, wait until the ice and snow melt off the track first.  then try a quarter mile run, maybe you have a thirteen second car already!!      Good Luck!  joe

how is it that it run's a 15.4@93mph when the track has been closed for over two month's and you JUST bought that car?

 Wonder, Ponder

then on another forum, under the same username you said you ran it in another state, and havn't run it here, but it ran 13.99@106.47MPH ?!?!?!?!

 Hmmmmm

I get being young, loving the hell out of your car and not wanting to tell ppl its slow and such, but you shouldn't be making up what it runs, or mod's it has, ETC

I'm local, as you know, we have talked plenty. I am willing to help you out, but it seems you'd rather run around and do your own thing, spewing out BS, and just ignore what everyone has to say trying to help you out.

IDK, not trying to be a dick, just speaking my mind. I dont like bullshit.
