I'm done

say what? WTF

you are listening to the wrong person, and going off on the wrong people..don't be mad at us for helping Disgust

i was in your shoes before hell all of us have at one point in time, but as all of have realized experience is a value that does not go ignored, unless you refuse to listen of course.

if you are done well i guess i'm done to.

good luck

I said I was done, but I cannot stand this mentality.

I'm done

I asked you a question.

Is there an issue with the camshaft?  Yes or No?

If you need ANYTHING to do with the cam, let me know ASAP.  Done.  Handled.

First class customer service is doing what I have done.  FordStrokers bought the cam.  Not you.  Yet I have extended my hand to you and instead of saying Thanks, look at the mess YOU created.

I told you what happened to me NINETEEN years ago and what to check.

You Are Welcome.

I just got off of the phone with Jim Woods.

He DID speak to the "tuner" last Friday.

Why should Jim even talk to this guy?

If the guy is over his head, then sell the business and go deliver pizzas.

And here is how this plays out.

The engine is going to melt down if it isn't already tore up.  The engine will go back to Jim and he'll have to fix it or he'll be mother phucked for it being broke because it has been run when it should NOT have been run.  Jim is in a loose-loose situation and so am I now.  Why?  Because of the "customer service" card you played.  For some lame ass reason you think I have given you poor customer service.  The engine did not come from me and I know I don't know the retard.  I stand behind what I do.  In this case, it is the cam.  Instead of starting a $h!t storm, you were given multiple things to try and instead of a "Thanks", look at where we are now.

and checking the plugs is something a basic shadetree mechanic knows, but this tuner has not thought to do this Disgust hes gonna keep on till something goes  Blowing Up and the bad part is you keep letting him do this,  Don't ...no i dont know which one is worse, tuner that keeps running the motor or owner keep letting the tuner run the motor

I really hope woody does not have to deal with this retard (again). Id be cramming that glowing head up my tuners ass. That is assuming I was so stupid as to not realize that was bad myself or to 'forget' all of the advice given 4 pages ago. Woody should not be allowed to give this guy and his tuner a bailout plan.  Blowing Up

Ok here it is, I built a long block, that according to the tuner runs great, fires right up never mind the glowing bank of headers. He calls me last friday. I go over the usual stuff, he said everything checks out fine. Well obviously everything is not fine. I really dont know what the tuner wants from me in all honesty. His efi issue has NOTHING to do with me. I am not a tuner, the tuner is not an engine builder. So............what do I do? Please tell me, someone tell me. I have NEVER seen a glowing bank of headers be a result of a mechanical problem, ever. If anyone has a suggestion feel free to let me know.

Jim Ive seen that happen on an engine where the intake wasnt seated quite right during the install........it makes 4 nice vacuum leaks.

I run a ENGINE dyno for a living, have instrumentation available to me that most will never see. A mechanical engine problem is not blame 99.9 percent of the time with glowing headers. Since this is a single in block cam engine, it can't be cams that are out of time. Here is a list of things to check

- Air/fuel ratio in both banks
- Condition of O2 sensors and O2 harness
- Spark plug wires
- Injector harness, check for bent pins
- Spark advance for load and rpm
- Header gasket
- Valve adjustment on that bank
- Intake gasket leak
- Valve cover gasket......don't laugh
