Well looks like plan A is a go............I hope. Plan B would still be Ford based shortdeck, but all aftermarket including block and heads.  Whistling Plan B may still happen as a developement engine.

Which heads and block would you roll with on plan B?

Well the E-460 heads are a no go. I can't get them,  they are only available to professional NHRA prostock racers.  I will be using a different head, maybe a entire different setup.
Hmmmmm Summit and Jegs them....with a shipping date of 10-17 days. Are these the heads??

Yes those are them, but they don't have them.

I have no idea how this happened, but some E-460's heads are being shipped out. I owe someone though big time. Thanx!

can i ask who you purchased the heads from?  are they new or used?  with only a few pro stock teams running ford parts, i can only guess you cannot get them because no one is casting them!

well done being so persistent and patient.

cheers, claude

Can't say. Unless you know someone, you can't buy the E-460 heads. They are only available to NHRA Pro-stock teams from what I have been told. I have been going round and round for over a year trying to purchase these heads.  I'm sorry

Well my patience is running out, I have waited a 1 1/2 years, enough is enough.  I have tried every possible avenue to get the heads, just no luck. I have one last shot, if it does not come thru next week, $7500.00 worth of block and crank goes on race junk to be sold.

Please someone come thru with a set of E-460 heads.

Have you tried getting ahold of Jim Cunningham with the new prostock stuff coming on line I wonder if he has some E-460's that he will be getting rid of?
