My friend at work has a '69 Mach 1 which he's getting a motor built for.  It's a stockish 428.  I don't know much about it but here's an idea; bored .030 over, ported stock (?) intake and ported stock heads with bigger valves, stock exhaust manifolds and I'm not sure about the rest of the exhaust.  The guy building his motor told him to get a 750... and I forget what company it's from....  Wouldn't that be small though?  I just read an article in MM & FF where they put a 750 on a 306.  I know nothing about carburetors but I figure that's the main point here?  I'm curious what you guys think should be put on it with the vague information I gave.  Thanks.

I would say 750-950. Does he need a choke?.

Uhh, it's a four speed.  Rearend gear?...  He isn't sure what to choose but I think everyone's making him lean toward 355s.  Anyone know if that's a good choice?  Honestly no clue about the choke. lol  I'm too noobie for this part of the forum.

If his guy suggested Patrick (PRO-SYSTEMS) his 750's should suffice ,or if not he'll set you up with the correct size you need.    Good Luck!
