Here's a video of some of the local 'Arizona's Fastest Street Car' guys messin around.  'Crapi Driver' was on Speed Pass just the other night.  That little Capri is running in the 9.20 range now on a stock block 347 with a 200 shot.  'Truuble' has a Dart Block 408...not sure if/how much he's spraying.

Funny thing about Truuble...he's a chunky lawyer...and drives a convertible.  Kinda reminds me of someone around here.... Wonder, Ponder

Did that Capri roll out of a "Wallace" racing trailer?
I didn't recognize the driver so chances are...  probably not.

The owner was the camera man.  Bill Wallace...he's in one of the armed forces, can't remember which.  Travis, his son, is 18 abd drives the crapi lol.  Bill's a machinist by trade...I don't think they have enough money to be rolling that thing around in a trailer with a name on it =).

Bill Wallace is my good friend from when I was stationed there.
When I first came on this board...  I was the one asked you to look for this guy just in case you were going to run him.
We both are Jet engine guys from the old days, he went on to Quality Assurance and I went on to trying to be a First Sergeant.  LOL...  now we're both neither and just poor, Ford junkies!
I met Travis when he was just 12 or 13...  now look at him huh?

Yep I remember now!!  I didn't realize that I knew/knew of him already lol.

He's the lead machinist at a reputable shop about a mile from my house.  Really good guy all the way around...we've had a few good conversations.  Travis is a hell of a driver from all I can see.  He was raised racing big wheels out at Speedworld from 3-7yrs old (pro tree lol), then Jr. Dragsters from 8-18, again...pro tree.  He cuts lights like mad lol.

I'll make sure when I talk to him Monday I tell him Dana Gerry says heya =).

havent heard that tune for a while,,    holiday in cambodia,,  ''dead kennedys''

Don't fear the gear!

Or you can run back to FM and build a 3.00" stroke, 6.500" rod, in a 9.500" deck block, use GT-40 heads because you want "torque" and then run 13's because it won't turn the tires in wet grass.

Your Choice

Do you know how you can spot bullshit?.......... here are some catch phrases  to look for:

Torque Down Low
Velocity
Tip In
A 750 cfm Holley is too big of a carburetor
A 75mm TB is too big for an EFI N/A setup
Single Plane intakes are only good for 7000 rpm setups
A long runner EFI intake is the only alternative for a DD setup
Rod to stroke ratio and side loading
A set of cylinder heads that peak flow at .500" lift require a .500" lift cam
Solid roller setups area a Don't ...no  for streetable setups
Anything bigger than a 2.5" ID exhaust will cause losses in power, specially in "torque down low"

CI qoute of the month--

Never saw a flow bench go down the track and 10cfm in an application where the MCSA is the issue, 10cfm is like trying to piss on the World Trade Center when it was on fire.

Yes.

It's actually just Bill, and he let his son drive that day.
I can say, Bill is not a small man, and his son...  from what I remember is skinny as a bean-pole.  So take all the advantages you can when you're racing for pinks.
Plus, I think Bill bought that car for his son Travis?

Well, they still have the car (I was leaning on it today), and didn't pay a dime to get it back.  From my understanding...the whole show is somewhat...well *cough*rigged*cough*.

Now, as far as Travis...he drives for two reasons lol.  He's 200lbs or so, and Bills pushing maybe 250lbs.  On top of that, Bill can't cut lights like Trav can (not like I can either lol) =).  The kid's pretty good.
