Are those the Canfield 230cc 18 degree heads?  They look very nice.  What kind of times are you looking for out of this beast?

Yes.

When I had them flowed, they were 340/240 as from Canfield with some minor hand blending around the seat.  Since then, there has been a few extra tricks done to these heads.

ET?  Mark will have my help until it runs mid to low 9's.

I am not starting shit here, I just want to know something.

Why are the splitlines on the rodcaps so visible?  Have they been polished or treated in some way which radiused the edges?

Every BME aluminum rod I have ever seen looks like that.  Plus the light in the shop makes things look all phucked up too.  I noticed that after I put up pics on my 310 thread.

I am not questioning your engine build and assembly practices.
There are those of us who have taken the best made, best rep parts and fucked them up on our own...  at no fault of the manufacturer.  I have a history of wasting some really nice parts, so for a long time now I've been putting a lot of attention on detail.
On the flip side...  I have seen some really screwed up stuff from VERY reputable manufacturers.

...  just wanted to ask a question (i got the answer) and to stress the importance of attention to detail.

Yes, BME does have their shit together. I run their pistons, pins and rings ( Old Card file # 18827 ). I have been to the facility many times, their QA program is excellent, it cool to see all those fresh shiny parts. Manny Cisneros ( engineer ) has helped me with pleanty of things, he's a great guy always willing to help. I'm only 30 mins away if you ever need anything I can run down there.
